Born and raised in Atlanta,Eliana Marianesearned a BA at Emory University with a double major in Theater Studies and English in 2010. In their professional life, they focus on the physical life of the actor, teaching actors to get out of their head and into their bodies through the Viewpoints method. They began their study of Viewpoints with Out of Hand Theatre in Atlanta, and have since studied under Anne Bogart at SITI Company. They've been teaching Viewpoints in and around Atlanta since 2011, teaching Viewpoints at the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, The Robert Mello Studio, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, the Legacy Theatre, Fabrefaction Theatre Company, the Horizon Theatre, and co-teaching at the Alliance Theatre with Clayton Landey. They also create workshops and advanced classes centered around movement; basically, they're super passionate about teaching theatrical movement to actors of all ages and places in their careers, and are delighted anytime someone invites them to do it!
They have worked as a Movement Director at Theatrical OutfitOur Town, The Laramie Project, and the Suzi Award Winning production ofThe Book of Will, Gainesville Theatre AllianceMen on Boats and Théâtre du RêveIl Etait Une Fois. They haveover 30 productions in Atlanta as an actor, including:Reykjavik (Actor’s Express),TheBook of Will (Theatrical Outfit),AMidsummerNight’s Dream(Georgia Shakespeare Festival and New American Shakespeare Tavern). Regional Credits include:Spring AwakeningandThe Cake (Warehouse Theatre),Fancy Nancy(Lexington Children’s Theater). They've also been spotted in a few national commercials, and are proud to be represented by Stewart Talent. In this class you will revisit the basics and we will end with a deeper dive into character & scene work!
Level 4 is created entirely new for each ensemble that takes it.
This class encourages actors to use the movement skills and voice work that they learned in levels 1 and 2 to create their own individual process for building a character or taking on a role.
Our Meisner and Movement Intensive is the closest you’ll get to a full conservatory-like program in the Southeast. All levels welcome.
